．個人感想．

時隔數月

我又回來翻NPI了

除了是因為Blurryface快翻完了之外

主要是不知為何最近腦中總是想起這首的鋼琴曲


還記得當初第一次聽到這首歌

還在想為什麼這首副歌聽起來這麼亂

現在才懂他真正的用意

「I want to know...」那段是在以第一人稱表達自己內心的想法

而「People look at him...」那段則是Tyler以第三人稱旁述自己的故事

我先講後者

後者我認為是一個很特別的描述方式

可以注意到Tyler並不全然以第三人稱敘事

應該說

他是在「認識自己」的前提下

以旁觀者角度敘事的

這就可以產生一個很特殊的效果

也就是這是「Tyler認為別人對他的看法」

他嘗試以他人的視角描述自己

但是卻是以非常主觀的方式

而我相信Tyler也明白自己這麼做的意圖

不過他內心卻有這麼一部份

(有點類似Blurryface的概念)

不斷說服、欺騙著自己

「沒有人願意幫我」

而相對地

就有了「I want to know...」那段

是他最純粹的心靈渴望

不假修飾

嘗試與負面情緒的自己相互抗衡

整體而言就以簡單的合奏

搭配悲涼卻又激昂的鋼琴曲(抱歉我找不到更好的形容詞)

形成了一個天人交戰的場景
