Dema:故事中最主要的城市，象徵著抑鬱、消極和不自由
Clancy:故事中的主角，曾沉迷在Dema營造出來的安逸幻覺中，現在為banditos其中一員
Trench(壕溝):分隔Dema與外界，亦為專輯名稱
banditos(土匪):極力想逃離Dema的人們，但被困在了Trench
nine bishops(九位主教):為統治Dema的人物，即niners
Nico:全名Nicolas Bourbaki，為九位主教中的一員，象徵焦慮和抑鬱

．個人感想．
作為Trench的閉幕曲
Tyler(又或者說Clancy)覺得他遲早會逃出Dema的
但是在他越接近自由時
他卻越感到困惑
畢竟他就是在Dema長大的
會不會其實那裡就是他的歸屬?
會不會歌詞裡的「over」指的是他的行動失敗或取消了
而不是終於邁向自由了呢?
隨著這樣的開放式結局
故事最後的場景就停在了Trench
不過值得玩味的是
將結尾停在故事標題的地方
或許代表著還有許多情節尚未發展完全
可能還有更多故事等著被延續下去
但其實Tyler說過Trench的世界觀
算是他心理疾病的一個縮影
所以說真的
