．個人感想．
或許是前陣子翻譯了太多
歌詞深邃意境深遠的歌
現在聽到這種歌詞簡單明瞭的歌
反而更能觸動我的心
整首歌是為了紀念Tyler已故的爺爺
祂在這張專輯的製作過程中
不幸因阿茲海默症(由歌詞推論，未被官方證實)去世
這是Tyler第一次在歌詞中提到祂
但值得一提的是
祂曾出現在Vessel這張專輯封面中
是兩人中右邊那位著橫條紋襯衫的老先生(另外一位為鼓手Josh的爺爺)
整首歌詞裡這句我聽得最感傷:
「When your eyes did not know me
Like I know you」
很好理解，很好想像那情境
但它給人情緒的衝擊感也是最大的
我無法想像那個我最深愛的人
也曾最深愛我的人
若有一天不再記得我了
那會是多麼地讓人悲痛欲絕
所以我大概可以意會為何Tyler在爺爺得病後不常去探望祂的心情
我本來在疑惑為什麼這種歌詞要被這種愉快的旋律包裝
後來覺得
或許只是想讓他爺爺只記得他們快樂的記憶吧
BTW
這算是Trench裡面最好懂的歌了
接下來我會隨著這張專輯歌曲難懂的程度來慢慢翻完
不過我還是會優先以還沒人翻過的歌曲為主
